Placement information for professionals referring adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to our two licensed homes in Orlando.
You are usually working against time, and often against a short list of homes that will take a medically complex adult at all.
This page exists so you can find out quickly whether we are a fit, without a phone call that ends in no. If your client is not right for us, we would rather tell you in five minutes than in five days, and we will point you toward anything else we know of.
Both homes are licensed for six residents. We accept new residents one at a time, with a minimum of thirty days between placements, so that staff can learn a new resident's routine and needs before another change is introduced. That pace is deliberate and we hold to it. If you are working a timeline that does not line up with ours, tell us early and we will be straight with you about whether it can work.
Two staff are present in each home at all times, one licensed practical nurse and one certified nursing assistant, on twelve hour shifts, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
We routinely support:
Ventilator-dependent residents are accepted at The Garden at Bennett, which is on automatic standby power with on-site fuel storage. The Garden at Ibis is equipped with a generator connection and an on-site unit for use during outages.
We also accept residents supported through residential habilitation without 24 hour nursing authorization.
We will work outside our usual scope where we can do it safely, and we would rather assess an edge case with you than have you screen us out on a guess.
Where we are not the right home: clients whose primary need is behavioral rather than medical. We support residents who arrive with behaviors and we are often able to help them reach a steadier baseline once the medical picture stabilizes, but behavior support is not what this program is built around, and a client whose needs are principally behavioral will be better served elsewhere.
Community engagement is offered and, where a resident wants it, we build around them. It is not the center of the program. Our center is medical stability and hospital avoidance.
We serve residents through Florida's APD iBudget Waiver.
We also work with families whose loved one is currently enrolled in ICMC rather than the iBudget Waiver, including situations where a move between the two is part of the placement. Those transitions take time and we are used to working inside them.
If the current authorization does not cover the level of care required, that is frequently solvable. We have built significant additional needs documentation and secured 24 hour nursing authorization for clients who had been determined not to require nursing on first review.
If your client's funding picture is complicated, bring it to us rather than skipping us.
When a young adult turns 21 and their funding structure changes, families are often given very little notice and very few options. Providers built around the pediatric structure frequently stop serving at that age, and the adults who result are the exact population we serve.
If your caseload includes clients approaching that transition, we would rather hear from you early than at the deadline. A family who has toured before they need to is a placement that goes well. A family placed in a week is a placement everyone is nervous about, including us.
We are also glad to be a home a family tours with no referral attached, simply so they have seen something.
Call (689) 777-2892 or email info@AGGCares.com and ask for Antoinette Munroe, our administrator. She handles intake herself.

The Garden at Bennett and The Garden at Ibis are two small homes in Orlando. Six residents each, which is the licensed maximum and also the number we chose. The reason we stay small is that stability in a medically complex adult depends on the same staff knowing the same people well enough to notice when something is slightly off, and that does not survive scale.
We are not trying to be everywhere. We are trying to be a place you can send someone and stop worrying about them.
Share what you can about your client and a member of our team will review it and reach out promptly.
