Our residents are medically complex adults, and the work here is real nursing: medications, enteral feedings, seizure plans, and catching small changes before they become hospital stays. We are hiring LPN Shift Leaders (Licensed Practical Nurses) and certified nursing assistants for two small residential care homes in Orlando. Six residents per home, one LPN Shift Leader and one caregiver on every shift, and schedules you can plan a life around. Bilingual English with Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Portuguese is a plus.
If you are coming from a hospital floor or a large facility, the difference is the first thing you will notice. Six residents, a steady routine, and time to actually know the people you care for.
Our primary care doctor makes house calls, and we coordinate specialists for every resident. Our nurses bring recommendations to the doctor instead of just carrying out orders, and that is how we keep residents out of the ER.
We cross-train our caregivers on medications and tube feedings, so the LPN Shift Leader and the caregiver work as a team, not a hierarchy.
Our team weighs in before we accept a new resident, because we want you to want to come to work.
